There were no significant differences between the survivor group and non-survivor group, except for in the serum bilirubin levels. The serum total and direct bilirubin levels on day 7 in the survivor group were significantly lower compared with those on day 7 in the non-survivor group (total bilirubin: 4.6 ± 2.8 vs. 13.7 ± 10.8 mg/dL, p = 0.014; direct bilirubin: 2.2 ± 0.5 vs. 9.8 ± 4.5 mg/dL, p = 0.009).
